Terms

Terms of use

What you and Ideoria agree to, in plain words. In short: what you write stays yours, Ideoria keeps and shows it only as you ask, and what you put in and publish is your responsibility. Before Ideoria opens to everyone, these terms will be reviewed with legal advice, and may change.

Using Ideoria

By creating an account or using Ideoria, you accept these terms; Privacy and AI says what happens to what you write. You need to be able to accept these terms yourself under the law where you live. Reading a published book needs no account.

Your account

Keep your sign-in to yourself: you're responsible for what's done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password at once.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right you have in what you write and bring into Ideoria — manuscripts, notes, Book World, pictures and files. Using Ideoria doesn't make Ideoria an author of your work or transfer any copyright to it, and Ideoria claims neither.

What you let Ideoria do

So that Ideoria can do what you ask, you let it store, copy, process and show your work — only to provide Ideoria to you and to the people you choose: keeping your books and their history, sending what a request needs to the AI service that processes it when you ask Alush, making the files you prepare, showing a book to the people you give access to, and showing a version you publish to readers in the way you chose. This doesn't let Ideoria sell your work, or publish anything you haven't. It ends when you delete the work, apart from what Privacy and AI says stays.

A comment you leave on a published book is shown on that book's page. You can take it back at any time: readers no longer see it, but its words are kept, hidden, until the book or your account is deleted — and if it was reported, or Ideoria set it aside, it stays hidden after your account is deleted too. If your account is deleted, a comment readers can see stays there, with no name.

What you put in, and publish

You're responsible for what you write, upload, bring in and publish. Use only material you have the right to use — your own, or someone else's with their permission or as the law allows — and nothing that breaks the law or another person's rights, their privacy included.

Alush assists; you decide

What Alush writes or notices, and pictures made with AI, can be wrong, incomplete, or close to something that already exists. It isn't advice or established fact — check it before you rely on it. Nothing she suggests enters your book until you choose it, and what you keep and publish is your decision. Ideoria claims no rights in what Alush suggests for your book; whether the law protects AI-made material as it protects your own writing depends on where you are.

If you connect an assistant from outside Ideoria, you choose it and how far it goes. What it reads is handled under that assistant's own terms, and what it writes, suggests, brings in or arranges in your book is yours to check, like anything else you keep.

Publishing online

Publishing is always your choice, and so is taking a book down. Readers can read what you publish, and may keep copies that can't be recalled. Readers can report a book or a comment, and Ideoria may take down a book or a comment that breaks these terms or the law.

What isn't allowed

Don't use Ideoria to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • publish what infringes someone's copyright or other rights, or exposes their private information;
  • harass or threaten people, incite hatred or violence against them, or make or share sexual content involving minors;
  • spam, mislead, or pretend to be someone you're not;
  • get into accounts or books that aren't yours, probe or attack Ideoria, overload it, or get around its limits;
  • collect published books or other people's information in bulk by automated means.

Availability

Ideoria is still being built, and is offered as it is. It may be unavailable or slow at times, and its features may change, be limited or end; some requests, Alush's above all, are limited to so many an hour or a day. Ideoria keeps earlier versions of your writing as you work — not every single save — but keep your own copy of what matters to you — you can download everything at any time.

Files and print

The files Ideoria makes — a web page, an e-book, a Word document and a PDF for print — follow a general book profile. Ideoria doesn't promise that they meet a particular printer's, store's or distributor's requirements. Check them with whoever prints or sells your book, and see a printed proof before ordering copies.

Leaving, and suspension

You can stop using Ideoria at any time, download your data, and delete your account permanently from your profile, after confirming it's you with your password. Archiving a book can be undone; deleting it permanently can't. Ideoria may suspend an account, or take down a book or a comment, when that's needed to stop abuse, to protect people or Ideoria's security, or to comply with the law.
